Not Your Average Butcher

Fast Fact: The average butcher has 7.3 fingers. Actually, I made that up, but I have all 10 of my fingers, so that's saying something... or is it?

Rich Gentlemen Have it Boys: Indigestion!

I've finally got my own computer at work! How exciting! Actually, I share it with my coworker, but I get my own profile on Windows XP, so it's like it's my own! I've been restraining myself from searching the internet for wallpaper. That's just to show how much of a geek I am!

I also have a boss that keeps pawning off her food on me. Am I really that skinny?! Yesterday she wasn't hungry so she gave me her chicken soup. This morning, she gave me a 650g container of yogurt because she had bought it by mistake and no one in her household liked it. So she gave it to me. Yay for me! Free food for the starving student!

**Later**

I ate about 2/3 of that container of yogurt today. I think I'm going to have a tummy-ache tonight!

FOX Has Made a "Huge Mistake"

I went to the dentist again last Friday to fill in my last two cavities. And now today, 5 days later, there's a little spot on my chin that is still frozen. Help! I can't find my chin!

As if that's not enough, Fox is cancelling my favourite all-time TV show Arrested Development. Why is it that they're cancelling the most clever television show ever created (in my humble opinion)? This is an OUTRAGE!

As atribute to "Arrested Development", I've added a "Random Arrested Development Quotes" box just below my links. I got this awesome feature from www.bluthfamily.com. I hope anyone that enjoys the show as much as I do gets a kick out of these, too!

Tell the Police I Ain't Home Tonight

Here's my stupid action of the day:

I was working at the office and someone asked me to send a fax for them. So I went over to the fax machine to do my thing. First, I pushed '9' to get an outside line. Then, I pushed '1' for long distance. Then my finger slipped and I pushed '1' again by mistake. Then, a prerecorded voice started blaring out of the fax machine. So I picked up and replaced the receiver. What was that? I thought to myself. Then I looked down at the screen and saw that I had dialled '911'. "Oh no!" I exclaimed, "I just called 911!" The office administrator laughed at me. Anyway, 5 minutes later I was doing some filing in my boss's office. She walked in and said, "You're not feeling sick, are you?" with a smile on her face. "No," I answered,"Why?" "Because you called 911 and security came upstairs to check it out!" "Oh no!" I said (again). "Don't worry about it," she said, "we told them it was a mistake." I stuck my head out of the office and sure enough, there at the edsk was a security guard filling out a report! So I went back to hide in the office. "He has to fill out a report?" I asked. "Yeah, they have to do it for every 911 call." she said. I felt kinda bad about wasting his time. He was a pretty old guy. I hope he didn't have to run up all those stairs!

A $20,000 Story

I'm sitting in the front office at school and as I type this, Arahova Souvlaki on Crescent street is burning. That's the cool part about being on the 12th floor: we can clearly see the firemen running around on the roof of the smoking building. The street seems to be blocked off and there are plenty of fire trucks and police cars. How dramatic!

Speaking of dramatic, the Geography department, since its move about a month ago, has already been ripped off of 2 laptop computers and a projector. The second laptop and the projector disapppeared two nights ago. And then this morning, the Political Science department, which is just down the hall from us, discovered that their new grad lounge had been doused in soapy water, all over the new carpets and couches.

What's going on, here?!

Well, it seems like there's always an adventure in the Geography department!

Four Times Stronger than Morphine!

I don't know what it is, but it seems that lately, everyone's been going to the dentist to get cavities filled. I just had a couple filled and I have no idea why all of a sudden, I seem to be getting cavities when I never got them as a kid. Anyway, it was a bit of an adventure when I went for my fillings on Friday.

My dentist tells me that perhaps the nerve structure in my chin is different than most people's. And that's why he had to freeze me four times before my mouth actually froze! I had one tooth filled on the top right and that went well. Then he went to do a tooth on the bottom right and it hurt! So he froze me again. But then it still hurt. So he froze me again. And then it STILL hurt and the dentist could not believe it so he decided to give me something different that he only uses for extreme cases. This stuff was supposed to take effect right away and only lasts for 15 minutes. Right after he froze my mouth for the fifth time with this special stuff, he asked me; "Do you feel your heart racing?" And all of a sudden my heart DID start racing! I'd never felt it go that fast! And I couldn't breathe properly and I got really, really hot. The dentist said, "Don't worry, it's normal." I have no idea what he gave me, but it was kinda scary! Anyway, it took my mouth about 4 1/2 hours to unfreeze, rather than the usual hour. It made that wine and cheese I went to after my appointment a little awkward!

On a completely different note, we went to the Habs game on Saturday night. Although the Canadiens had a terrible game, it was still a lot of fun! Hockey is so much more exciting in person than it is on TV. Actually, I think that's true of most things. Anyway, the game was awesome and we ate so much food! But that was only because Mike sprong for tickets in the Club Desjardins section, where all of the food id included. Between the two of us we had 4 hotdogs, 2 smoked meat sandwiches, 2 fries, 2 pieces of pizza, 2 ice cream cones and 5 drinks. So we made those tickets worth our while! And then I went home and brushed my teeth, ha ha!

As for Hallowe'en, well, I didn't really do anything. I was supposed to go to a party on Friday night, but I decided to stay home. That was the day I had my dentist appointment, and somehow it really tired my out. We did watch the movie "13 Ghosts"last night, though. What a terrible movie. Everyone said it was so scary, but really, it wasn't.
